Apple Ridge Country Club was founded in 1966 by Clinton Carlough.  The Carlough family remains the sole owners of the club.   Over forty-five years ago, Clinton Carlough, an ardent golfer, visualized the apple orchards as a perfect setting for a golf course. Through his hard work and determination he made the dream come true.  Overlooking the skyline of New York City, Apple Ridge is conveniently located in Mahwah, New Jersey.  Presently, we are strictly a golf course, but future plans hope to reestablish the pool amenities to the club. 

Apple Ridge’s eighteen hole course was designed by Hal Purdy includes practice facilities.  We recently renovated the course with new bunker and tee complexes with additional yardage. 

Our Golf Professional, Tom Flatt and his staff are available for private lessons and clinics throughout the season. His fully stocked Golf Shop carries the finest in golf equipment and clothing offered.   Men and Women’s Tournament groups compete throughout the season and accommodate all levels of play. Our Tuesday night men’s league is a great way to meet and get to know fellow members in a casual setting.

Dining at Apple Ridge offers many options, whether it’s a quick lunch between rounds, a snack and a drink with fellow members after golf or a leisurely dinner with family and friends.   All season we celebrate the holidays with fabulous buffets, special dinner menus, clambakes and BBQ’s.  Newsletter and event calendars are mailed to the members keeping them abreast of all activities.  The Banquet facilities are available for private parties, outings and special events.
